Neil Young – Old Man (Sound Remedy Remix)

I’ve always been a fan of producers who can take a classic rock song and give it a new age electro feel. When it’s done right, the result is often nothing short of incredible. In this case Sound Remedy gets it right, showing his ability to sample a classic track without losing it’s roots.

Skrillex & The Doors – Breakn’ a Sweat (New Visuals)

As part of the Re:Generation project, Skrillex linked up with the surviving members of The Doors to produce an absolute banger. The song was released awhile back, but now we get an interview and some accompanying visuals of the EDM producer working with the legends. Concert footage of Skrillex is also shown with him wearing the motion capture suit that displays his movements on a screen behind him, peep that innovative shit towards the end. Anyone who hates on dubstep, like I am one to do, will be surprised with how much newfound respect you have for the king of dubstep after watching this.

Kid Cudi & Dot Da Genius – ‘WZRD’ Album Cover

So the punk-rock duo known as WZRD unveiled the cover for their January 30th album release and…it’s cool I guess. I’m more partial to the unofficial designs that have been floating around the web lately, but hopefully Cudder revamps it before WZRD drops.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Give It Away (Psymbionic Remix)

So glad I finally got to use one of my favorite album covers of all time. On this bass-heavy remix of RHCP’s ‘Give It Away,’ Psymbionic creates the next best rock/dubstep masterpiece. Hearing this at a party would be a rare instance of enjoying whomps for me. Also, if you’re one who likes seeing Red Hot Chili Peppers being used in interesting ways, hopefully you didn’t miss Vico Uno’s Bonfire Under The Bridge.

Pretty Lights – Wayfaring Stranger (Ft. LeAnn Rimes & Ralph Standley)

The best part about the new Pretty Lights track is the obvious collaboration between him and two rock-n-roll legends. Derek has been known to remix older rock songs but he has never teamed up to create something truly original like this. As you will soon find out the end product of ‘Wayfaring Stranger’ has the classic Pretty Lights vibe, but it doesn’t override the legends he has featured. This is one of the most beautiful songs created by Derek if you ask us.
