Heems – Womyn 2 (ft. Childish Gambino)

Heems, part of the hip-hop duo known as Das Racist, hooks up with Childish Gambino for a track on his solo mixtape Nehru Jacket. ‘Womyn 2’ features some solid word play from both emcees, but it’s especially good to hear a new Childish verse. Also as a bonus I found an mp3 to the ‘I’m A Boss Freestyle’ Gambino did for SBtv. Grab that too.

Joe Cool – I Wanna Sell Drugs (New Visuals)

With #CooleyHi finally getting a release date of January 19th, Louisiana new-school rapper Joe Cool decided to drop off visuals for the first track FRS heard from him last year. The song has that old-school feel from the early 90’s, and the video takes that concept even further. It’s very simple, which isn’t a bad thing, since the music is what counts.

Sol – 2020 (Official Video)

I’m a fan of all types of music but Seattle emcee Sol makes it near impossible to take other artists seriously. Solzilla once tweeted something along the lines of: “If you can’t perform live what you record on an album, don’t do it at all.” With new visuals for a track appearing on his upcoming first full-length album Yours Truly, Sol gives that phrase new meaning. Just check it. Live instruments, backup singers, and Seattle swag all rolled into one. The future of hip-hop looks bleak if artists don’t start living up to Solzilla standards.
